NIC MEYER-SURILLO
Line Producer & Post Producer with over 18 years of experience with some of the most iconic brands in entertainment, including Nickelodeon, MTV, NBC, and HGTV. My career has been built on the foundation of creative collaboration, operational efficiency, and a deep respect for the people behind the process. Whether overseeing large or small crews, managing budgets ranging from modest to multimillion-dollar productions, or optimizing workflows to increase efficiency, I’m always focused on producing outstanding content while fostering a positive and supportive work culture.
Throughout my career, I’ve led initiatives to streamline production timelines, reducing project durations and cutting budgets by up to 30% without sacrificing quality. I’ve written and refined network deliverables, built production pipelines from the ground up, and created post-production systems that ensure teams—from Post Supervisors to Editors—have clear, efficient paths to follow. One of my proudest accomplishments was developing audio workflows at the start of the pandemic that allowed talent and engineers to capture broadcast-quality recordings from home—solving a key industry challenge with practical, scalable solutions.
But beyond the operations and leadership side, I’ve always been a creator at heart—a hands-on editor who loves the craft as much as the process. Over the years, I’ve edited sizzles, stringouts, promos, wedding videos, and event reels, finding joy in shaping stories both big and small. I’m skilled in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop, and my design background has given me the ability to merge visuals and storytelling seamlessly. My experience extends to event production and design, where I’ve created everything from intimate weddings to high-energy corporate celebrations, transforming seasonal gatherings into immersive experiences or infusing large-scale wrap parties with cinematic flair. I thrive on bringing creative themes to life—red carpet glamour, Cinco de Mayo, Día de los Muertos, Mardi Gras, Elegant Prom, 007—and executing every detail from concept and graphics to video shoots and final edits.
I love to be hands-on and utilize all of my skills—from Producing to Editing and everything in between—to ensure every project feels cohesive, intentional, and alive. Recently, I’ve also begun expanding my creative toolkit with generative AI, becoming skilled in Runway and Firefly to explore new ways of blending human creativity with emerging technology. For me, storytelling isn’t just about production—it’s about imagination, collaboration, and never stopping at “good enough” when there’s still room to make it unforgettable.

I’ve spent the past 15 years in Production Management, most recently Line Producing both CG and 2D animated series for Nickelodeon. My work has spanned projects of all scales—from large-budget productions with full in-house crews and artists to smaller, outsourced teams managing accelerated or shortened pipelines. Combined with my background in Post Management at MTV, these experiences have given me a unique perspective on how to approach production workflows strategically. I’m skilled at looking beyond traditional schedules to find creative, efficient solutions that streamline the pipeline, maximize resources, and deliver exceptional results within even the tightest budgets.

I’ve been editing since 1999, starting back when I was clipping footage deck to deck before transitioning into digital editing with Final Cut Pro. Over the years, I’ve continued to evolve with the industry, now working primarily in Adobe Premiere and creating graphics for print and video in Adobe Photoshop. I’ve always believed in staying adaptable and curious, which has led me to embrace new technologies that enhance creativity and efficiency. Most recently, I’ve incorporated generative AI tools like Adobe Firefly and Runway into my workflow—using them to generate new video elements, animate still photos, and add visual effects that once required outsourcing. This blend of classic editing experience and forward-thinking innovation allows me to craft high-quality, dynamic content from concept to final cut.

With an eye for perfection and a love for bringing all of my skills together—from production management to graphic design and video editing—I’ve often become a one-stop shop for events. At Nickelodeon, I naturally evolved into the go-to studio lead for event planning, overseeing everything from the annual Halloween parties with fully immersive themes like Haunted Hotel, Creepy Carnival, and A Night at the Movies to large-scale wrap celebrations such as Special Mission 007 and a red carpet worthy Prom Night. My background in theater has deeply influenced my approach, inspiring me to craft every event with a sense of story and atmosphere—carefully curating everything from the color palette and lighting to the music, graphics, and overall guest experience. This same attention to detail has extended beyond corporate events, as I’ve also taken the lead in planning multiple weddings, ensuring every moment feels cohesive, meaningful, and beautifully executed.
